Wekiva Square West

Wekiva Square West is an 8,500 SF retail strip along E. Semoran Blvd (SR-436) in Apopka, a submarket in northern Orange County, FL that has seen tremendous growth since 2015. The property, orginally known as Shop & Go Plaza, was partially destroyed by fire in 2013, and was acquired by Present Equity prior to the building repairs. At acquisition in 2017, tenants included Pinch-A-Penny Pool Supplies, Boost Mobile and a failing sandwich shop, which eventually shuttered.

From 2018 through late 2019, our team:

• Performed a complete facade renovation, including building back the 2,500 square feet destroyed during the 2013 fire.
• Replaced the sandwich shop with a 4-unit operator of latin fast food known as Lechonera Latina
• Replaced the Boost Mobile with an 11-location operator of Hemp Dispensaries
• Downsized Pinch-A-Penny to accommodate a hair salon
• Expanded the Lechonera Latina restaurant by an additional 1,600 SF
• Relocated Low Ball Louie's cigar store from the Shopping Center at the hard corner
